Design & Fashion Content LEAD

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and confident trend curation and design expert to lead Myntra’s GenZ charter which will encompass trend curation, storefront designs and content creation . It is an agile and dynamic team with exciting challenges to solve for all GenZ fashion & lifestyle needs through on-app, CRM and marketing contents.

The candidate should be a responsible team player with self-driven abilities, with a bias for innovation in graphic design, skilled in developing creative solutions and can work in a fast paced work environment. Strong fashion and trend understanding, stakeholder management and great communication skills are vital. 

Team consists of 3 creative graphic designers handling interface design & 2 curation experts managing trend research and curation as well as 2-3 external partners for additional support. 



ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Curation

  • Trendspotting via market research, social media tracking , consumer interaction & trend research publications - identifying trend gaps and building input into trend decks to feed supply channels, influencers etc
  • Strong forecasting skills to surface viral trend stories in time with accurate curation
  • Analyzing and benchmarking GenZ fashion trends and content strategy across fast fashion apps & brands like NewMe, Shein, Cider etc
  • Building a fashion content calendar for seasonal refresh and ensuring all Gen Z  related topical & themes related stories are covered.
  • Building ideas to maximize trend storytelling across BUs - Apparel, Footwear, accessories, beauty etc
  • Experience in editorial fashion content creation across copy/ art & styling will be preferred.



Creative Design

  • Strong graphic design aesthetic with experience in developing storefront design.
  • Should exhibit great communication and articulation skills to guide the copywriters.
  • Fashion research and forecast (brands, catwalks, campaign, colors etc) to keep abreast of emerging design trends and practices. Develop and showcase creative direction and assets for every project
  • Cross functional coordination with the leads of store and category teams to ensure the content, image and design practices are as per brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders to present & execute ideas and confidently handle all aspects of the project.
  • Daily problem solving and stakeholder management, ability to take decisions, should have excellent presentation, communication and convincing skills.
  • Manage project timelines with internal and external team members and ensure the deliverables are on time. Prioritization and deprioritization of projects to ensure that the team has good work life balance whilst meeting biz objectives.
  • External partner collaboration and sourcing to outsource projects in top notch quality.
  • Should exhibit great team management and leadership skills -ensure that the team pulse is always high.

 

Qualifications & Experience


Candidates preferably from fashion institutes / fashion marketing backgrounds. At least 11+ years of industry experience working with fashion ecommerce or fashion publications.Good understanding of fashion brands, trends, GenZ led brands etc are mandatory.

Mandatory Skills

  • Fashion and trend understanding , up-to-date with Gen Z viral content and trends.
  • Creative flair, originality and strong visual sense, strong communication, presentation and visualization skills.
  • Should possess team good team management & problem solving skills.
  • Competent in Adobe Suite ( XD, After effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma etc) , proficient in graphic skills including gifs and other motion graphics and should be eager to learn new softwares. Added plus if there is experience is AI generative imagery.
  • Candidates should have previous experience in fast paced organization in the creative/fashion design domain.
