Role Overview

As an Associate – Category Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of specific fashion categories through strategic marketing initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute campaigns, analyze performance, and ensure seamless coordination with stakeholders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence customer behavior and drive category growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Category Growth Strategy:
    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to achieve category targets (GMV, AOV, and conversion rates).
    • Identify growth opportunities using customer insights and competitive benchmarking.
    • End to end ownership for the business in terms of ensuring planned traffic is delivered via different organic and inorganic traffic sources
    • Troubleshoot day to day merchandising, launch and marketing activities and providing end to end solutions for day to day operations.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with category teams, creative teams, marketing teams, central store team, monetization team, external brand partners, so on and so forth to align on campaign execution, launches, traffic performance, on app merchandising
    • Build and manage relationships with internal teams and external vendors for seamless coordination.
  3. Digital Marketing and On App Experience Execution:
    • Work with the performance marketing team to run category-specific ads on platforms such as Google, Facebook, and Instagram.
    • Oversee SEO and SEM strategies for category visibility and engagement.
    • Plan brand marketing campaigns with respective brand marketing stakeholders on a need basis
    • Work with activations team and plan topical activations on a monthly basis
    • Collaborate with growth hack team and execute 3rd party campaigns on 3rd party platforms
    • Liaise with central storefront team to ensure online visibility with respective to a particular business, campaign or brand is met with its desired expectation
  4. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Use MS Excel skills for campaign tracking, performance analysis, and ROI evaluation.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on category performance and marketing effectiveness.
  5. Customer Engagement:
    • Develop strategies to improve customer retention and loyalty.
    • Create personalized campaigns leveraging customer segmentation and behavior data.

Critical Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields (MBA preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketing roles.
  • Strong expertis in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, SEO/SEM tools).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with marketing and research tools such as Google trends, CRM tools and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
