Material Handler/Warehouse Worker (Contract to Hire) – Onsite

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll be a key player in our warehouse operations, making sure things run smoothly every day. From managing shipments and receiving deliveries to organizing inventory and operating forklifts, you’ll help keep our processes efficient and on track. Objectives of the role:

  • Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, move materials within the warehouse, and place products into storage.
  • Manage domestic shipping and receiving of goods, including packaging, labeling, and tracking shipments.
  • Experience in international shipping is a plus but not required.
  • Collaborate with couriers and carriers to ensure accurate, timely delivery and receiving of materials.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook for communication, Basic MS Office experience.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper organization of the warehouse.
  • Support inventory counts and ensure proper labeling and storage of goods.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
  • Assist with any additional warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section
  • Identify and escalate security risks to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member and actively contribute to remediation efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving (domestic).
  • Experience driving a forklift is required (certification preferred).
  • Knowledge of international shipping processes is a plus.
  • Good computer skills and basic Excel, Outlook and word experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Data entry and Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Experience with any ERP preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed around 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Details:

Location: West Deptford NJ, should be willing to go to Delaware once or twice a week

  • Schedule: 8 am to 4.30 pm (Monday to Friday), Morning shift
  • Contract Type 3 months contract, possibility of conversion to full time based on performance
  • Compensation: $23/hr. on 1099 with overtime possibility, (overtime rate is 1.5 times the hourly rate)
  • If converted full time: Rate: $26/hr. (with company benefits)
  • Interview: Video interview followed by face to face in West Deptford NJ office
