We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Marketing Communications Director who can craft compelling narratives, drive brand strategy, and elevate our market presence. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a passion for transforming complex ideas into engaging communications which resonates with our target audience.

 

About the Role 

 

 Content Strategy and Development 

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing communications strategies that align with company objectives and drive brand awareness 
  • Lead storytelling initiatives that capture the unique value proposition of our brand and differentiate us in the marketplace 
  • Coordinate sales enablement programs with stakeholders and team members to create resources which empower our sales team to effectively communicate our value proposition 

 

Creative Deliverables 

 

Design and produce high-quality marketing collateral, including but not limited to: 

  • Comprehensive datasheets and specification sheets 
  • Detailed technical documentation 
  • Engaging battle cards for competitive positioning 
  • Marketing & advertising campaigns 
  • Sales presentations and pitch decks 
  • Event & Conference materials as needed 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute joint marketing campaigns 
  • Oversee content creation across multiple channels, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice 
  • Develop strategic advertising and PR campaigns to increase brand visibility and market share 
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for brand positioning 
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and media partners 
  • Track and analyze marketing communications performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations 

 

Thought Leadership & PR Management:

 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive thought leadership strategy that positions our executives and subject matter experts as industry leaders
  • Create compelling storylines and narrative frameworks that align with our business objectives and resonate with target media
  • Direct PR agency and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry analysts, journalists, and influencers
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities at prominent industry events and conferences
  • Oversee the development of bylined articles, white papers, and research reports
  • Lead media training for company spokespeople and executives
  • Share quarterly PR measurement reports tracking share of voice, sentiment, and message pull-through

 

Content Integrity and Consistency 

 

  • Ensure all communications maintain the highest standards of brand integrity 
  • Develop and implement quality control mechanisms for content outputs 
  • Create templates and systems that enable consistent content and brand representation in conjunction with Creative Director 

 

Strategic Collaboration

 

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, sales, and executive teams 
  • Translate business objectives into compelling communication strategies 
  • Provide creative direction for external agency partnerships in conjunction with Creative Director 

 

Desired Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing communications, preferably in technology or B2B sectors 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand and marketing strategies 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling and compelling content development 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across various formats and platforms 
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media strategy, and content marketing 
  • Commitment to ongoing security awareness training and adherence to company policies and best practices. 
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and participate in professional development activities.

Pursuant to the NYC Pay Transparency Law, the base salary in New York City for this position is $150,000 base salary plus opportunities for bonus programs. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
