About The Role

We’re searching for an experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day print production and team management at our Irving Print Facility for the second shift, which is Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 2:00am CT.
This is a full-time role for a proven leader with a strong background in direct mail or print manufacturing. Interviews will be conducted via phone and in person. The salary for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 annually, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
The Role in Action
- Manage daily printing and finishing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety standards are met.
- Respond to equipment malfunctions, material issues, or workflow disruptions in a timely manner, coordinating with the Maintenance and Technical teams to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Communicate, implement, and train on current and new initiatives or processes.
- Record shift performance metrics and participate in improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Communicate daily production status updates and challenges to leadership in a timely and effective manner, proactively offering potential solutions or recommendations to address any issues.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who’ll hit the ground running with:
- 10+ years of experience in printing and finishing manufacturing, with a proven track record in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of Inkjet and Indigo Presses, as well as perfect-binding finishing processes.
- Hands-on experience with web press operations (required).
- A strong understanding of prepress workflows and variable data printing.
- Skills in troubleshooting production issues and performing root-cause analyses to minimize downtime and reduce waste and the ability to correct errors in data collection and job specifications.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize print production workflows effectively.
- A commitment to continuous improvement in leadership and management skills and a proactive approach to solving production challenges.
- Experience in print management systems (custom-built or third-party software).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team coordination and reporting.
- A process-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
