The Role
The Procurement Operations Manager is a key member of Nabis’ Infrastructure team, responsible for driving measurable cost savings, formalizing procurement processes, and building scalable systems that support long-term operational clarity and performance.
This role leads procurement operations for supplies, services, and recurring operational vendor needs - ensuring that purchasing aligns with strategic goals, meets budget expectations, and enables effective vendor performance tracking. In addition to managing purchasing operations, the Procurement Operations Manager supports infrastructure projects by delivering cost modeling and vendor performance insights - transforming procurement into a disciplined, data-informed function.
The ideal candidate is analytical, systems-oriented, and execution-focused - someone who can identify cost inefficiencies, evaluate total cost of ownership, build high-impact procurement tools, and contribute to strategic vendor relationships across the organization.This role includes a performance-based bonus structure tied directly to cost savings results, with clearly defined savings goals and proportional payouts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Infrastructure’s cost optimization strategy by identifying, executing, and tracking high-impact savings initiatives across supplies, services, tools & equipment, and vendor categories.
- Set and monitor annual savings goals tied to Infrastructure’s operating budget, reporting monthly performance through dashboards and variance reviews.
- Define and report on procurement KPIs, including realized savings, vendor compliance, procurement cycle time, forecast accuracy, and pricing consistency.
- Analyze procurement data using historical spend, category-level benchmarks, and operational forecasts to uncover savings opportunities, inform bulk purchasing, and improve planning accuracy.
- Conduct benchmarking, total cost of ownership analyses, and multi-bid comparisons to guide cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Market General Managers to ensure procurement aligns with budget targets, operational timelines, and proper financial coding.
- Perform invoice and payment audits to flag discrepancies, reconcile vendor charges, and validate purchasing accuracy.
- Leverage spreadsheets and AI-powered tools for forecasting, reporting automation, cost analysis, and procurement optimization.
- Recommend and evaluate procurement systems or tools that scale with Infrastructure growth and enhance visibility into spend performance.
- Manage day-to-day purchasing across all Infrastructure categories, ensuring compliance with internal controls, purchasing SOPs, and cross-market consistency.
- Maintain and refine procurement workflows, including approval processes, purchasing guidelines, and documentation standards.
- Use forecasted needs and historical usage to guide procurement recommendations, optimize order volumes, and negotiate bulk pricing or cost-effective substitutions.
- Oversee purchasing system upkeep, including SKU accuracy, categorization, pricing updates, and product lifecycle tracking.
- Maintain and lead the Infrastructure’s vendor database and scorecard system, tracking pricing, compliance documents, contract terms, renewal dates, and performance feedback from field and internal stakeholders.
- Track and manage procurement deliverables across capital projects, such as quotes, invoices, service agreements, and milestone timelines, to ensure Infrastructure timelines and budgets are supported.
- Coordinate vendor evaluations, contract renewals, and RFP processes in collaboration with Infrastructure leadership and market teams.
- Maintain and evolve standardized procurement playbooks and vendor requirement checklists tailored to specific warehouse types or regional needs.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in procurement, operations, supply chain, or business operations roles.
- Demonstrated ability to identify cost savings opportunities and execute structured procurement strategies.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets, dashboards, and AI-powered tools for forecasting and decision-making.
- Experience managing vendor records, purchasing systems, service agreements, and financial reconciliation.
- Ability to develop and maintain procurement SOPs, approval workflows, and scalable processes across multiple teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills with keen attention to detail.
- Low-ego, adaptable, and high EQ
- Willing and able to travel domestically up to 50% at peak times
- Must be able to pass a background check
