Our Finance Team is currently seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to help with financial modeling and analyzing M&A and investment opportunities!
The Role
The Strategic Finance Manager will serve as a thought partner to leadership and own high-impact workstreams across budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making. They will manage and mentor a small team of finance professionals, guiding them in producing data-driven insights while maintaining a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality to tackle hands-on analysis as needed.
The Strategic Finance Manager will play a critical role in optimizing financial processes, designing scalable frameworks, and helping the business operate efficiently by leveraging automation and AI-driven tools. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of a rapidly growing company in a high-growth, complex industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Own FP&A Cycles:
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reporting
- Guide business unit owners through strategic planning and financial accountability
- Mentor and Lead:
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of finance analysts/associates
- Set clear goals and coach for continuous improvement
- Strategic Insights: Build and present executive-ready models and dashboards that frame complex problems, track KPIs, and distill data into actionable insights for C-level stakeholders
- Cross-functional Partnership: Work closely with leaders across Sales, Operations, Accounting and Product & Engineering, to align financial planning with company objectives
- Leverage Automation & AI: Design and implement workflows using AI tools, scripts, or low-to-no-code solutions to streamline reporting, reduce manual work, and increase analytical output
- Model Business Cases: Develop rigorous models to evaluate key initiatives, investments and M&A, cost-saving opportunities, and new revenue streams
- Scenario Planning & Risk Assessment: Build and maintain dynamic financial models that incorporate sensitivities, trade-offs, and risk frameworks for board-level decision-making
- Capital Markets & Fundraising Support: Provide analytical support for fundraising activities, M&A opportunities, or strategic partnerships
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, tooling, and stakeholder reporting infrastructure
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or a related strategic finance role
- Prior experience managing or mentoring analysts, with demonstrated success in growing and leading teams
- Exceptional modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets; advanced knowledge of financial frameworks and ROI analysis
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Apps Script, CoPilot, or similar) to optimize workflows and improve output quality and speed
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets; SQL proficiency is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and present to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field (MBA or equivalent experience is a plus)
- Self-starter mentality, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
