The Role
The Dispatch Supervisor’s responsibility is to assist and support our Delivery Drivers as they navigate product drop-offs, payment pickups, and customer communication. They are also the first point of escalation for clients and dispensaries with any issues or concerns. The ideal candidate will be punctual, detail-oriented, empathetic, and can communicate clearly and effectively. Reporting Hours: Monday - Friday ~6:00 AM - 7:00PM as scheduled
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling liaison for all drivers and dispatchers.
- Monitor Samsara for long-haul movement and serve as a point of contact for long haul drivers, helping to coordinate any roadside assistance if needed.
- Review orders for the day, ensuring METRC accurately reflects correct information for all deliveries.
- Update the drivers’ delivery screen in the dispatch software, ensuring full visibility for all parties.
- Receiving, tracking, and staging cross-hub orders
- Ensure the correct staging of all paperwork for drivers before the start of their shift
- Offload long-haul
- Real-time updating of drivers’ documentation for deliveries and pickups if edits are needed
- Assisting drivers while they are at retail shops by acting as an efficient communication liaison between customers, brands, and internal stakeholders
- Assisting drivers’ launch (helping to load deliveries, double-checking to ensure all boxes are accounted for, and that necessary tools are loaded into the vans)
- Routing pickups and deliveries for drivers while referencing all notes and location schedules
- Field calls from manufacturers, dispensaries, and drivers, assisting them in updating orders as necessary, then resubmitting updated and edited Metrc manifests
- Being readily available, or any issues that may arise while drivers are out on the road.
- Skillfully constructing and wrapping pallets for secure transfer
- Documenting all layover orders and logging in the appropriate inventory logs
- Ensuring proper pre-loading of vehicles for the next day's deliveries
- Rescheduling orders as requested by brands and retail shops.
- Confirming window times and payment pickup for all deliveries.
- Assist with the launch of overnight long-haul
- Serve as a back-up driver as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree OR 2 years relevant work experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, stretch, twist
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen
- Ability to work occasional evening/weekend shifts
- Cannabis/METRC experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on the phone and via email
- Basic math skills
