The Role
The Operations Training Supervisor is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining training programs that ensure operational consistency, compliance, and high performance across Nabis warehouse operations. Reporting to the Central Operations Manager, this role partners closely with site leadership and frontline teams to onboard new hires, upskill existing employees, and reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The Training Supervisor sets clear performance expectations, translates operational requirements into effective training materials, and ensures employees are equipped to execute their roles safely, accurately, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable working across multiple sites and teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively at various levels, can leverage data in decision-making and process proposals, and is a natural leader.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, including SOP documentation, onboarding guides, job aids, and process updates, ensuring alignment with central operating standards.
- Deliver hands-on and classroom-style training for new hires and existing employees across warehouse functions, including inbound, outbound, inventory, transportation, and compliance related workflows.
- Set clear expectations for performance, quality, safety, and compliance, ensuring employees understand both the “how” and the “why” behind operational processes.
- Partner with site leadership to assess training needs, identify skill gaps, and design targeted training plans to improve productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
- Observe employee performance on the floor and provide real-time coaching, feedback, and retraining as needed to reinforce best practices and SOP adherence.
- Track and report on training completion, certification status, and post-training performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Central Operations Manager.
- Support operational launches, process changes, and system rollouts by developing and deploying training plans that enable smooth adoption across teams.
- Ensure all training programs support compliance with state and federal cannabis distribution regulations, safety requirements, and internal audit standards.
- Collaborate with Central Operations, People, and site leadership to align training initiatives with operational goals, staffing plans, and performance expectations.
- Maintain organized training records and documentation to support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Gather feedback from trainees, supervisors, and operations leadership to improve training effectiveness and relevance.
- Stay current on operational changes, tools, and industry best practices, updating training content and delivery methods accordingly.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older to work in the cannabis industry
- Customer Service: 2+ years of experience
- Last-mile distribution and logistics: 2+ years of experience
- Associate degree OR 2 years relevant work experience
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Knowledge of manual and systematic warehouse movement
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and twist
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Monday - Friday on-site work availability
- Ability to work occasional weekend shifts
- Clean driving record

- Video production/editing skills a major plus
