TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS PROJECT ENGINEER POSITION

NAC International, a global provider in nuclear fuel cycle management solutions and consulting services, is seeking a Transportation Operations Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and field execution of our transportation projects. This position will be based at our Wampum, Pennsylvania location.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Transportation Operations Project Engineer at NAC International you will support the planning and execution of transportation projects from preparation through field operations. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate project activities, prepare technical and project documentation, support transportation equipment and shipping cask operations, and help ensure projects are completed safely and successfully.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

You’ll support transportation projects from planning through execution, helping coordinate the technical, operational, and field activities needed to keep projects moving safely and successfully.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Prepare necessary support documentation for assigned projects, including design and procurement specifications, purchase orders, operating and maintenance manuals, and fabrication and test procedures.
  • Interface with other internal work groups to support cask and site operations equipment design and engineering analyses.
  • Maintain NAC/Transportation shipping casks and support equipment.
  • Coordinate packaging and shipment of all NAC/Transportation project specific equipment.
  • Responsible for cask and other site operations associated with assigned projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals needed for on-going and new business activities.
  • Assist in developing project management documentation and briefing materials, including overall progress and status reports, for the customer and Company management.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical science field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the nuclear industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work well with a team working towards targeted deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Requires short and long-term domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time.
