Product Designer
Nametag is seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our rapidly expanding team. This is a high impact role where you will be leading the entire design process across our secure identity verification and account protection platform. In this role you will create excellent UX flows, apply visual design systems, prototype using a variety of tools and methods, create production-ready designs, and conduct usability testing and support implementation.
This requires improving existing product designs and analyzing industry approaches to produce high quality and high performing outcomes. The Product Designer will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Leadership across the company to ensure seamless adoption and long-term success for Nametag’s enterprise customers.
Role Overview
As a Product Designer, you will have the opportunity to work with both prospective and existing customers, ensuring the successful integration of Nametag’s identity verification and account protection solutions. You will lead proof-of-concept (POC) projects and create beautiful designs while helping the Nametag team create a product our customers love.
In your first 180 days
We are a startup, so the roadmap and priorities can shift. However we anticipate in the first 180 days you will:
- Design user interactions across the mobile app, web developer console, and marketing web site.
- Create visual imagery, graphics, and other assets for use across all user touch points with the brand.
- Proactively suggest improvements to the design and user experience, informed by data, experiments, feedback, and design judgement.
Ideal Qualifications
No one is perfect and you don’t need to answer yes to all of these to be amazing in this role, but ideally you match most of the items below, and you possess the drive and attitude to learn the rest.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Create high-quality design guides, wireframes, and mock-ups in a common design tool. We use Figma, but experience with Sketch or other tools is also good.
- Focus on the product and the user experience as much as the visual design
- Can turn high-level ideas into tangible designs that look great
- Refine designs proactively based on user feedback, and can run design experiments.
- Use subtle animations to help guide the user
- Manage relationships with external firms/agencies
- Can write HTML and CSS
- Act as your own project manager, and can communicate progress and plans concisely
- Capable of productive and self-guided work on a remote-team
We also want you to like our current design approach! We're not planning on throwing away our design and starting from scratch, we want to keep building on what we have and make it better and broader.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary: $100,000 - $140,000
- Potential equity in a high-growth company
- Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
