About the Role:

The Director of International Sales will lead and manage the company’s international sales strategy, driving revenue growth across global markets including Canada, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, and building high-value relationships with distributors, partners, and clients in these regions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and expanding market share in international territories. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global markets, cultural nuances, and the ability to adapt sales strategies to different regions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets and expand the company's market share in key international regions.
  • Lead, manage and maintain a strong trusted network of international distributors and partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives and driving continuous improvement in sales performance to achieve mutual success
  • Proactively evaluate market potential and refine go-to-market plans for different regions, identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand product penetration and drive revenue growth.
  • Partner effectively with internal teams, including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless execution of international sales strategies and achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing team to ensure accurate brand and product representation across various regions, developing necessary materials to distributors, sales reps and retailer partners 
  • Monitor and analyze  sales performance, providing regular updates and actionable insights to senior leadership. Ensure accurate forecasting and effective budget management utilizing tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and Looker. Ensure accurate forecasting and effective budget management.
  • Actively review retailer forecast and adjust demand plan accordingly in partnership with supply chain to manage inventory
  • Coordinate and participate in international trade shows to drive brand awareness and deliver sales targets
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from the field to inform product development, service offerings, and marketing strategies, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs of global markets.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, and International Sales and or equivalent practice
  • 8+ years of experience in international sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. (Experience in international sales of consumer electronics, baby, or IoT experience strongly preferred.)
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding revenue targets and driving market share growth within international markets.
  • Understanding of global trade regulations, cultural dynamics, and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup or high growth environment

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, International Sales, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in international sales: With at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and expanding market share in international markets.
  • Understanding of global markets, cultural nuances, and trade regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred candidates will be based in NYC and required to be in the office 3 days per week. We will also consider highly qualified remote US candidates.

Salary Range: $190K - $220K targeted OTE. The compensation for this role includes an On-Target Earnings (OTE) structure, which is a total combination of base salary and performance based incentives, as well as equity and benefits. This is just one component of Nanit's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
