Financial Systems & Business Intelligence Manager (FSBI Mgr)
Narvar is Growing! We are seeking a highly skilled FSBI Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our newly established FSBI team, reporting directly to the CFO. This role is crucial for deploying, maintaining, and enhancing our financial systems to support company strategies and operational demands, with a focus on AI-enabled technology.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept FSBI Manager to lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our core finance systems. This is a hands-on role that requires someone with a “sleeves rolled up” mentality—ready to work directly with people, processes, and systems. The ideal candidate will possess an innate curiosity and a drive to thoroughly examine how our systems operate, identify inefficiencies, and develop scalable solutions.
You will collaborate closely with Finance, Sales Ops, RevOps, and IT teams to ensure the integrity, automation, and scalability of financial data and reporting infrastructure. This role plays a key part in accelerating decision-making by leveraging modern AI tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Systems Leadership
- Develop and maintain a long-term roadmap for finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, Airbase, FP&A tools) in partnership with Finance and IT leaders.
- Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools and automation to enhance accuracy, reduce manual effort, and increase reporting speed.
- Lead end-to-end implementation and upgrades for ERP and financial tools, ensuring they scale with business growth.
Data Alignment & Integration
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines and reconciliation frameworks to ensure accurate mapping between bookings and revenue data.
- Develop and manage databases to support unified reporting and data transparency across functions.
- Ensure consistency of financial metrics (ARR, revenue, expenses) across systems and stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Automation
- Identify and automate inefficient manual processes using AI tools, scripting, or native workflow automation features within financial platforms.
- Continuously assess and improve financial close processes, forecasting accuracy, and variance reporting through system enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Sales Ops, Engineering, and Business Systems teams to understand data needs and implement solutions that support real-time decision-making.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between business users and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable system configurations.
System Administration & Governance
- Own configuration, access control, and maintenance for financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Airbase, FP&A tools).
- Ensure systems adhere to data governance, compliance standards, and internal audit policies.
- Manage vendor relationships, system upgrades, and performance monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience managing financial systems, including ERP (NetSuite preferred), expense management (e.g., Airbase), and FP&A platforms.
- Strong experience integrating CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce & NetSuite), including alignment of ARR and revenue data.
- Proven track record implementing automation and/or AI solutions to streamline reporting and financial workflows.
- Excellent SQL/database skills with experience building queries, reconciliation logic, and reporting datasets.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes (GL, AP, AR, RevRec) and their system implications.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and directly engage with system users, data flows, and business processes.
- Naturally curious and analytically driven—constantly looking to dig deeper, challenge assumptions, and uncover root causes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
