Jr. Customer Engineer

Remote - Canada

As Narvar continues to scale its post-purchase platform, we are looking for a high-energy, technically curious Junior Customer Engineer to join our team. This is a foundational role designed for a recent college graduate or bootcamp finisher who is eager to dive into the world of e-commerce, APIs, and data integration.

You won't be expected to architect complex systems on day one. Instead, you will be the "engine room" of the CE team—supporting our Senior Customer Engineers and Shopify SMEs on high-value projects. You’ll be taking on some of the extra tasks needed by the team but involved in the background, learning how the world’s biggest brands move data, and the right candidates will be looking to eventually grow into an implementation expert. We are looking for a teammate who is coachable, deadline-driven, and ready to help our team raise the bar.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist Senior CEs with the "tasks" of implementations, including configuring basic data flows, working on configuration within the narvar platform, setting up webhooks, and testing API endpoints.
  • Data Mapping: Work with JSON structures to ensure data from a customer’s storefront (like Shopify or Salesforce) maps correctly into the Narvar platform.
  • Technical Documentation: Become the team’s historian. You’ll help document the custom solutions we build to ensure our Support and Product teams understand exactly how a client’s integration functions.
  • Ticket Triage: Help investigate initial technical hurdles—debugging errors or checking logs —before escalating to sr team members
Quality Assurance: Help perform rigorous testing on new integrations during our testing and hypercare phase
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in regular stand-ups and project syncs, providing updates on your tasks and learning how to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • The Foundation: A recent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a graduate of a recognized Coding Bootcamp.
  • Technical Literacy: A solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and how APIs (REST) work. You should be comfortable looking at a block of JSON and understanding its structure.
  • Reliability: A "hit the deadline" mindset. You take pride in finishing what you start and keeping your team informed of your progress.
  • Coachability: You thrive on feedback. You’re looking for a role where you can be mentored and are quick to apply what you’ve learned to the next task.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills. You can explain a problem clearly and aren't afraid to ask questions when you're stuck.
  • Bonus Points: Any exposure to e-commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce) or automation tools (n8n, Zapier) is a huge plus, but not a dealbreaker.

Why Join the CE Team?

This isn't just a "support" job. You will be working directly on the connective tissue of global retail. You’ll be mentored by industry experts, get hands-on experience with modern iPaaS tools, and have a clear career path toward becoming a full Customer Engineer or Integration Architect.
