Vice President, Finance

Hybrid - United States

Location: Bay Area, California (San Mateo)

Work Type: Hybrid (1-2 days per week)

Narvar is Hiring! We are looking for a tech-forward VP of Finance to serve as a strategic architect for our financial operations. This is a high-impact role designed for a self-starter who prefers running a lean, elite operation over managing a large team. You will be the right hand to our CFO, taking full ownership of our financial engine and preparing the organization for the next steps in our growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic FP&A Ownership: Fully own forecasting, budgeting, and long-range modeling. Your goal is to provide the CFO with "push-button" visibility into the health of our SaaS, and transactional revenue, along with key financial and business metrics.
  • M&A Strategy & Benchmarking: Drive financial due diligence and valuation for M&A activity. You will build and maintain the benchmarking frameworks we use to evaluate potential targets.
  • Finance Systems & AI Transformation: This is not a maintenance role — you will be the architect of our next-generation finance stack. Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of modern FP&A tooling. Embed AI and automation across budgeting, forecasting, and close workflows to eliminate manual effort and improve decision velocity.
  • Lean Financial Operations: Oversee the monthly close process with high integrity and speed. Set the standard for accuracy, cycle-time reduction, and process discipline across the finance function.
  • Board-Level Narratives: Produce high-impact Board decks and financial presentations. You must be able to translate complex data into a clear, compelling story.
  • The Connective Tissue: Partner daily with Rev Ops, Deal Desk, and Executives leadership to ensure financial alignment across the company.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, with deep expertise in SaaS unit economics and revenue growth.
  • Mastery of FP&A & Modeling: Proven ability to build complex, 3-statement models and long-range plans from scratch.
  • M&A Track Record: Direct experience in the full M&A lifecycle, specifically in benchmarking targets and conducting financial due diligence.
  • AI & Tech Forward: A track record of leveraging AI and automation to overhaul budgeting processes and streamline the monthly close.
  • The "Player/Coach" DNA: A self-starter who thrives in agile environments and prefers scaling through technology and process over large headcounts.
  • Strategic Partner: Exceptional communication skills with experience producing Board-level narratives and partnering with Executive stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA preferred.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
