
Cardiovascular Technologist Training Specialist
Nasium Training, LLC (Nasium Training) is UMA Education, Inc.’s workforce development subsidiary offering short, unaccredited, and customized healthcare training opportunities to its employer partners. The CME division serves 35,000 physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers annually.

Purpose of the Position:
The Training Specialist fosters skill development and career advancement within the organization, by delivering engaging and impactful learning experiences. This role is an active educator that bridges the gap between organizational goals and team member development. This learning professional role has an early and lasting impact on the team member experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Learning Design and Delivery: Onboard new team members with an emphasis on helping them learn their job role and connect with our culture. Design and facilitate training curriculum tailored to call center roles, including presentations, job simulations, role-playing exercises, web-based courses, videos, and other blended learning materials.
- Learning Management: Engage with team members and managers to assess on-going training needs on process, procedures, systems, and regulatory updates. Discuss career-pathing opportunities with managers to align training with departmental growth. Provide regular feedback to directors and managers on individual and team performance.
- Quality Assessment and Improvement: Identify knowledge gaps based on individual and team performance, aligning with organizational processes. Measure training outcomes. Assist in collecting and compiling course survey feedback to enhance training quality.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure new hires complete mandatory training on health, safety, and compliance requirements/practices. Support leadership on remediating team member compliance violations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Participate in and contribute to team collaboration and communication. Engage with team members on camera and in digital workspaces and virtual events.
- Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Create a supportive and open environment for coaching conversations. Provide constructive feedback on progress. Help mentees define their goals and understand why they matter. Offer guidance and resources to overcome obstacles.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Training Specialists must hold certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Located within commuting distance of participating hospitals/clinics (to be identified in each request)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Cardiovascular Technologist
- Prefer experience as an instructor in an invasive Cardiovascular program
Preferred Requirements:
- Any degree, or equivalent experience, especially in education, instructional design, or related field.
- Any strong or advanced proficiency in the above minimum requirements.
- Training, instructional design or related certification.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills or abilities – instructional design, professional services/consulting, Adobe Creative Suite, project management, teambuilding, data analysis and influence.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, ability to be on camera, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation Range
$60,000 - $85,000 USD
