
Research & Development New Program Specialist
Nasium Training, LLC (Nasium Training) is UMA Education, Inc.’s workforce development subsidiary offering short, unaccredited, and customized healthcare training opportunities to its employer partners. AI Education, LLC operates American Institute, an institution of higher education that has been offering accredited allied healthcare training curriculum in New Jersey and Connecticut through hybrid programs. Purpose of the Position:
The New Program Specialist is responsible for supporting the research and strategic development, communication, and execution of all new programs across UMA Education, Inc. This position will provide support to the Research & Development team for all new program initiatives that contribute to the organization’s strategic vision.
What you’ll do:
- Planning and Coordination: Oversee the planning and coordination of new activities or projects within the R&D department. Ensure that timelines are met, resources are allocated efficiently, and collaboration among team members is effective.
- Documentation: Organize and maintain departmental files in a central location for all stakeholders who need access to information gathered from input sources relevant to program development. Research and documentation of state, accreditation, and certifying body requirements to offer programming.
- Research and Trends: Research industry trends, gather relevant resources, and stay informed about new developments in the field of R&D.
- Subject-Matter Guidance: Provide subject-matter guidance to team members and management teams. Assist in solving complex problems, offer insights, and contribute to decision-making related to R&D initiatives.
- Collaboration and Meetings: Actively participate in collaboration meetings to track project progress, address any challenges, and ensure that R&D projects are on schedule.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year experience in a research-related role.
- Skills – interpersonal communication, attention to detail, follow-through, prioritization, and time management.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Any advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above minimum requirements.
- Grant writing certifications, or related.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills or abilities – influence, presentation, organization, high-energy, self-starter, adaptability, and change management.
Compliance:
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation Range
$70,000 - $70,000 USD
