Sales Application Specialist
The Sales Application Specialist supports the sales team in selling, presenting, project managing, and implementing Natera’s prenatal education tool through accounts’ EMR systems. This role requires broad interaction with Natera’s EDI personnel, sales team, client stakeholders, and vendor resources to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in selling and managing the implementation of prenatal education tools, running analytics post-go-live to ensure workflows are effective and monitoring account growth.
- Provide field support for existing prenatal education accounts to address ongoing needs.
- Coordinate and execute key tasks, including:
- Collaborating with the sales team on new prenatal tool requests.
- Managing projects with the internal EDI Team.
- Providing training and on-site customer support for new implementations.
- Identifying existing EMR interface issues or improvement opportunities and providing feedback to clients, vendors, the EMR team, Sales, and Operations.
- Analyzing EMR utilization data and working with clients to increase electronic order rates.
- Working closely with the EDI Team on key EMR initiatives and product updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regularly handle PHI (Protected Health Information) in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Complete all required training related to HIPAA, security, and company policies within the first 30 days of hire and maintain compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical field or laboratory space.
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems, lab workflows, and client workflows.
- Proficiency in Excel; Salesforce experience preferred.

Technical and Analytical Skills:
- Proficiency in analyzing complex data to monitor workflows and identify growth opportunities.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and their integration with lab and client workflows.
Customer Service and Communication:
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to present tools and train accounts effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences, including clients, commercial teams, and senior management.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A curious mindset with a drive to dive deeper for understanding.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Duties performed in a remote/field setting, with regular computer use.
- May require working outside normal business hours occasionally.
- Requires travel up to 70%.
