Sr Financial Analyst
Remote Role in Western States, US only
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the organizations by providing timely, accurate and insightful business
expense performance analyses to management. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, future requirements and operating forecasts. Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control while performing technical analyses to determine present and future financial performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, identify, and communicate financial expense performance to business partners
- Review and approve expense requisitions; highlighting items which are outside of budget parameters
- Develop departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reporting
- Create ad-hoc analyses and business forecasts
- Support accounting close process and audit reporting
- Design and implement scalable processes and procedures to report key business metrics
- Identify and drive implementation of cost reduction and process improvement projects
- Work with all functional groups to meet financial and corporate goals
- This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various
- technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job
- Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and
- Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days
- of hire.
- Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, related degree, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Excel skills experience is a necessity (pivot tables, VBA macros and Lookup functions)
- Strong financial systems and business application skills including database applications (Qlikview)
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving moderate to complex financial issues
- Experience supporting an R&D/Engineering organization is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify project
- interdependencies and potential risks/pitfalls
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality in handling information and issues that arise
- while staying within defined policies and practices.
- Collaborative work style, strong service orientation, and ability to effectively respond to and interact with
- all levels of organizational staff
