POSITION SUMMARY 

Natera is currently seeking a Clinical Data Entry Operator I to join the operations team.  This position completes data entry according to standard operating procedures (SOP) with high efficiency and accuracy.  This is a remote position with days/hours listed below, hourly rate is $18.

Schedule:

Tues-Sat, Day Shift 6am-230pm PST  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform data entry for a specific product and case type with high accuracy and efficiency. 
  • QC information provided in laboratory information system (LIMS) to ensure proper accessioning.
  • Accurately enter patient data into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS). 
  • Ensure that the information in LIMS is up-to-date. 
  • Ensure that all paperwork provided belongs to the patient. 
  • Add clear notes and holds to identify & flag missing/discrepant information.
  • Communicate electronically with various internal departments
  • Expected to work holidays, if required to meet department SLA
  • Protect patient health information (PHI) at all times to ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies. 
  • Maintain familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality standards determined by the clinical laboratory. 
  • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job. 
  • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policies and procedure compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire. 
  • Must maintain current status on Natera training requirements. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • BS/BA degree (preferred)
  • High School diploma required
  • Previous computer experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Flexible in work time and shift as work schedule may be modified to meet operational requirements
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office applications and Google Product Suite
  • Knowledge of numeric, oral, and written language applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills including excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with high accuracy. 
  • Job requires use of a computer, sitting, and typing during the entire shift.
  • Ability to perform required duties with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Organization skills with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • Able to deal with challenging circumstances, results-oriented
  • Adaptability to change and self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to meet goals/objective on time
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and possess a positive, service-oriented attitude with the ability to work well with others
  • Understands when and how to escalate issues appropriately
  • Effective critical thinking skills and the ability to use good judgment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime
