HR Generalist
The HR Generalist supports the HR Business Partner by managing day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This position is responsible for optimizing HR processes, administering compensation and benefits, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing data-driven insights to support business decisions, while also contributing to the alignment of HR initiatives with organizational goals.
Through close collaboration with the HRBP, the HR Generalist will contribute to key initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, talent development, and overall organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Assist HRBP in address general employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work culture. Support the investigation of employee complaints or policy violations, ensuring all actions are conducted fairly, objectively, and in compliance with company policies and legal standards. Help ensure consistent application of policies across teams, offering guidance to managers on best practices for employee relations and performance management.
- Performance Management: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the annual performance review process for Sr.Manager level and below. This includes tracking performance evaluations, ensuring timely completion, and providing guidance to managers and employees. Analyze performance data to identify trends and insights, and collaborate with managers to implement performance improvement and disciplinary initiatives. Support the development of individual development plans (IDPs) and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Compensation & Benefits Support: Guide employees and managers on compensation inquiries, benefits enrollment, and issue resolution. Assist with compensation adjustments and ensure employees are informed of available benefits. Collaborate with managers on compensation planning, performance-based pay, salary reviews, bonuses, and promotions, while providing insights on industry compensation benchmarks to ensure consistency and fairness.
- HR Data & Reporting: Provide managers with accurate HR reports and insights to support informed decision-making in areas such as performance management, workforce planning, retention, and compensation. Use data to identify trends, ensure policy compliance, and help managers align talent strategies with business goals.
- Training & Development: Help coordinate and facilitate training programs and career development initiatives aligned with department and/or business goals.
- HR Projects & Initiatives: Support the HRBP in implementing HR strategies, cultural initiatives, and change management efforts as needed.
- HR Compliance & Policy: Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. Ensure employees and managers are informed of policy updates and that changes are consistently applied across the organization. Provide guidance on policy interpretation to promote fair and consistent practices that support a compliant and respectful work environment.
- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with supervisor/managers team to align talent needs with workforce strategy, define job requirements, and guide decision-making around selection and internal mobility. Ensure hiring practices support diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, while monitoring recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
