Manager, High-throughput Process Optimization
POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Manager of Process Optimization you will lead transformative initiatives to optimize high-throughput diagnostic processes, enhancing efficiency and competitiveness of Natera’s commercial oncology tests. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in laboratory automation, workflow optimization, and scaling up lab processes, directly impacting the company's ability to adapt to its rapidly growing oncology market.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead high-impact projects to optimize and scale Natera’s high-throughput on-market commercial oncology product line
- Expert in high-throughput test development and lab automation
- Identify areas that need attention and manage a team driving product updates/optimizations for on-market products.
- Drive innovation in workflow optimization and automation; collaborate with operations, product management and other cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, working with Lab Directors, QA and Regulatory Affairs as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D or MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Deep understanding of complex systems and underlying molecular biology processes
- Proven track record in development, launch and optimizations of high throughput NGS diagnostic tests on automated platforms
- 5+ years of relevant managerial experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of CLIA / NYS / IVD / CTA regulatory requirements in the biotech and healthcare industries
- Experience with multi-omics test systems and fully automated work cell platforms is a plus
