Sr Director, Enterprise Business Applications

The Opportunity:

Natera is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director, Enterprise Business Applications to lead the vision, strategy,  optimization, and ongoing support of our Enterprise Business applications, including Oracle ERP, Salesforce CRM, Atlassian Suite, Clinical Trials Management Systems, etc. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring our application platform effectively supports Natera's current and future business needs across all functional areas. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP and CRM  strategy aligned with Natera's overall business objectives and IT roadmap. Provide thought leadership on how the platform can be leveraged to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Oracle & Salesforce Roadmap & Planning: Lead the development and maintenance of a multi-year roadmap, outlining key initiatives, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations. Ensure alignment with business priorities and resource availability.
  • AI + RPA Innovation:  Drive the collection of generative and agentic AI and RPA use cases and unleash WorkAI development in back-office and front-office domain and in collation of corporate AI Center of Excellence
  • Implementation & Upgrades: Oversee all implementation projects, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Manage project teams, vendors, and consultants effectively.
  • System Optimization & Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the  ERP & CRM systems. Identify and implement solutions to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience.
  • Business Process Alignment: Collaborate closely with business leaders across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Service,  and other departments to understand their needs and ensure the system supports and enhances critical business processes.
  • Data Governance & Integrity: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Integration Management: Manage integrations between the systems and other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of application professionals, including functional and technical resources. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Oracle, Salesforce and other relevant vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met and value is maximized.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget, including implementation costs, ongoing maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure the systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements and security standards. Collaborate with all compliant functions to implement and maintain appropriate controls.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the business systems to minimize business disruption.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of the latest technologies and evaluate their potential to benefit Natera's operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.   
  • A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in managing and implementing Oracle ERP systems, Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.   
  • Deep functional and technical understanding of Oracle ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order Management, HCM), and Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex Oracle ERP and Salesforce implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of business processes across various functional areas within a life sciences, diagnostics, or similar industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing large-scale ERP and Salesforce projects and budgets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.   
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.   
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing and negotiating with Oracle, Salesforce, and other enterprise software vendors.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with other enterprise applications that integrate with Oracle ERP (e.g., LIMS, CRM Salesforce, Workday, Customer Portal, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc ).
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
