POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic Senior Manager of RPA & AI Automation to lead our automation initiatives and build high-performing teams that deliver measurable ROI. This role combines technical expertise in MuleSoft RPA/UiPath with Salesforce integration, team leadership, and proven ability to drive business value through intelligent automation. The ideal candidate will establish our Automation Center of Excellence while scaling enterprise-wide adoption of RPA and AI technologies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Automation Strategy & Program Leadership (30%)
- Define and execute RPA and AI automation strategy aligned with digital transformation objectives
- Establish and lead Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) with governance frameworks and best practices
- Drive automation portfolio management including opportunity identification, ROI analysis, and prioritization
- Develop multi-year automation roadmap and champion adoption across the organization
Team Building & Leadership (25%)
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing team of RPA developers and automation engineers
- Recruit and develop talent with expertise in MuleSoft RPA, UiPath, Salesforce integration, and AI
- Establish career development paths, training programs, and performance management frameworks
- Foster culture of innovation and technical excellence
Technical Leadership & Platform Management (20%)
- Provide hands-on technical guidance for MuleSoft RPA and/or UiPath implementations
- Lead architecture design for automation solutions integrated with Salesforce and enterprise systems
- Establish development standards, coding practices, and quality assurance frameworks
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management (15%)
- Serve as primary automation liaison between business units, IT, and executive leadership
- Lead process discovery sessions and automation assessments with business stakeholders
- Conduct executive presentations demonstrating automation ROI and business outcomes
- Build relationships with business leaders to identify opportunities and drive adoption
ROI Management & Business Value Delivery (10%)
- Establish ROI measurement frameworks tracking cost savings, efficiency gains, and business impact
- Develop business cases and financial models demonstrating automation value
- Monitor automation performance metrics and report on realized benefits
- Create executive dashboards for automation portfolio performance
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years in automation/RPA/digital transformation with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience implementing MuleSoft RPA OR UiPath solutions with Salesforce integration
- Demonstrated success building and leading automation and AI teams
- Hands-on development experience with MuleSoft RPA platform
- Strong track record delivering measurable ROI through automation and AI solutions
- Experience with Salesforce platforms and automation integration patterns
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- Master's degree (MBA, Computer Science, or related field)
- MuleSoft certifications (RPA Developer, Integration Architect, Platform Architect)
- UiPath certifications (RPA Developer, Solution Architect)
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer, Integration Architecture Designer)
- Process improvement certifications (Six Sigma, Lean, BPM)
- Experience with AI/ML, intelligent document processing, or conversational AI
- Background in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise architecture
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Leadership & Team Management: Build and develop high-performing technical teams; coach and mentor talent
- RPA Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge of MuleSoft RPA and/or UiPath with hands-on development experience
- Salesforce Integration: Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, APIs, and integration patterns
- AI & Intelligent Automation: Experience with AI/ML, IDP, and emerging automation technologies
- ROI Management: Financial acumen with ability to quantify benefits and develop business cases
- Strategic Communication: Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
