Head of Marketing, Health Systems

The Head of Marketing, Health Systems will serve as the strategic marketing leader for one of Natera’s most transformative business units. Reporting to the GM of Health Systems, this executive will be responsible for establishing and expanding the brand, awareness, and go-to-market success of Natera’s system-wide solutions across leading U.S. health systems.

 

This role will own the marketing strategy and execution for a suite of innovative products and services that sit at the intersection of genomics, clinical data, population health, and precision medicine. The Head of Marketing will lead efforts to position Natera as the partner of choice for heads of precision medicine, CIOs/CTOs, CMIOs, clinical leaders, and health system executives. The candidate will build and scale a marketing team, collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Medical, Enterprise Sales, and deliver compelling strategies that drive engagement, adoption, and revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Define and execute the marketing vision, strategy, and annual plan for the Health Systems business.
  • Position Natera’s brand as a category-defining leader in genomic-enabled precision health and population diagnostics for enterprise healthcare customers.
  • Develop differentiated messaging and brand narratives tailored to C-suite executives, heads of precision medicine, clinical leaders, and innovation stakeholders within health systems.

 

Health Systems GTM & Demand Generation

  • Lead development of targeted campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), and outreach programs to generate awareness, consideration, and pipeline within large integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and academic medical centers.
  • Design and deploy marketing assets, digital content, case studies, solution briefs, and playbooks to enable Sales teams and drive conversion.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Commercial leads to drive successful product launches, ensuring positioning is aligned with value propositions and customer pain points.

 

Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement

  • Elevate Natera’s visibility and credibility in the health systems ecosystem through conference strategies, earned media, analyst engagement, webinars, and speaking opportunities.
  • Build strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), decision-makers, and early adopters of precision medicine programs.
  • Lead development of customer advisory boards and champion voice-of-customer programs to shape future roadmap and GTM strategy.

 

Team Building & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Health Systems marketing team with expertise across brand, digital, content, and field marketing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Product Management, Sales, Corporate Marketing, Clinical, and Medical Affairs teams to ensure unified messaging and market execution.
  • Track and report on marketing KPIs, including awareness metrics, engagement rates, lead quality, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles targeting health systems, or enterprise healthcare organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in marketing precision medicine, health IT, diagnostic, or population health solutions to healthcare executives.
  • Expertise in developing B2B marketing strategies targeting health system CXOs and heads of Precision Medicine.
  • Proven ability to build brands, generate demand, and launch new products or services in complex healthcare environments.
  • Understanding of genomic testing, clinical data interoperability, and EMR-integrated workflows.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization alongside product management and enterprise sales

Location & Travel

  • Remote-friendly; preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or Austin, TX.
  • Travel expected (~20–30%) for customer meetings, conferences, and internal planning.
