POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Sales Representative (ASR) is a highly driven, competitive, and relationship-focused professional responsible for contributing to account sales, service, and support activities across our clinical product portfolio. This role focuses on maximizing patient retention and test cadence compliance within existing accounts, while strategically deepening our footprint within key medical practices and regional hospital networks.
The ideal candidate possesses a high-energy, competitive personality, combined with exceptional organizational habits that ensure no detail or follow-up is missed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish & Expand Institutional Relationships: Cultivate, grow, and maintain deep-rooted relationships with physicians, clinical staff, practice managers, and key stakeholders across hospital systems and medical practices within the Knoxville market.
Drive Account Retention & Growth: Work closely with field sales partners to seamlessly support existing customers, ensuring patients adhere to their prescribed test cadence to improve long-term outcomes.
Execute Flawless Follow-Up: Serve as the primary, reliable point of contact for clinical workflows, test fulfillment, and logistics; follow up rigorously on customer requests and navigate internal systems to resolve friction points quickly.
Master Territory Time Management: Assess, prioritize, and structure daily field schedules efficiently to balance high-volume account touchpoints with high-impact strategic tasks.
Leverage Corporate Resources: Educate medical professionals on the digital tools, educational assets, and patient resources that Natera provides to facilitate seamless test order management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner fluidly with internal stakeholders—including Clinical Field Specialists (CFSs), Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), and patient coordinators—to maximize unit growth and deliver elite provider and patient experiences.
Utilize Data & Metrics: Analyze and monitor internal reports of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient retention and fulfilled order volume to proactively identify areas of workflow improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred (or Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical/sales experience).Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business (B2B) or medical sales experience with a proven track record of hitting targets, OR a background as a medical assistant, clinical support, patient liaison, or nurse.
Local Market Knowledge: Existing familiarity or established relationships with healthcare professionals, clinics, and hospital practices in the Knoxville or broader East Tennessee region is highly preferred.

The total on-target earnings (OTE) package includes a competitive base salary along with uncapped quarterly commissions. Beyond OTE, the compensation also features a car allowance and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
The compensation package listed is for 1st year OTE, which are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. On-target earnings (OTE) represent the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals. It combines a base salary with commissions and serves as an estimated figure rather than a guaranteed amount, providing a guideline based on average performance outcomes.
