Account Sales Representative

Raleigh, NC

About the Role

We are looking for a high-energy, adaptable, and results-driven Account Sales Representative (ASR) to join our Women’s Health sales team in the Raleigh-Durham / Research Triangle territory!

In this role, you will drive market adoption and business growth by supporting direct sales to Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, OB/GYNs, and major health systems. Anchored in the fast-growing Triangle—a premier hub for healthcare innovation and top-tier academic medicine—this territory extends into Greenville, Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, and surrounding markets. It offers massive opportunity and momentum, backed by a strong mix of world-class hospital networks and expanding private equity-backed practices.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding—a sharp, proactive go-getter with the natural ability to figure things out, run meetings independently, and command a room. You will be entering a sophisticated, highly demanding academic market that expects white-glove service, but you must also be a grounded, adaptable "sales chameleon" who can comfortably navigate a windshield-heavy, multi-city footprint—connecting just as seamlessly with rural practice teams as with world-class medical leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive Business & Seize Opportunity: Capitalize on incredible market momentum to drive revenue growth, support direct sales strategies, and expand Natera’s footprint across academic medical centers, health systems, and private equity practices.

  • Manage Complex Accounts: Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships across a territory that is approximately 70% large hospital/academic systems and 30% private equity/independent practices.

  • Self-Driven Execution: Demonstrate strong personal initiative—leading clinical meetings independently, proactively solving client challenges, and managing high-touch customer expectations without waiting for direction.

  • White-Glove Service in High-Demand Markets: Deliver an elevated level of service tailored to a sophisticated, detail-oriented academic client base that demands excellence, rapid responsiveness, and deep product knowledge.

  • Adaptable Engagement Across a Broad Footprint: Act as a true communications chameleon—effortlessly pivoting your style to engage with academic department heads, PE executives, private practice physicians, or rural office staff across a multi-city territory.

  • Embrace the Drive (Windshield Time): Manage a multi-city geography with energy and efficiency, traveling as needed across the broader region (including Raleigh, Durham, Greenville, Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, Fayetteville, and surrounding areas).

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Clinical Field Specialists (CFS) and internal Natera teams to deliver flawless sample/logistics coordination, protect existing business, and execute flawless new product rollouts while adhering strictly to compliance standards.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Experience: 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience (background in medical, biological sciences, or diagnostics preferred). A track record of high achievement (e.g., President's Club or equivalent sales performance) is highly preferred.

  • Polished & Professional: Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, capable of earning the trust of top-tier academic leaders and private equity stakeholders.

  • Resourceful & Autonomous: A natural ability to self-navigate, problem-solve on the fly, and run client meetings with confidence and independence.

  • High-Touch Customer Service Mindset: Thrives in a high-maintenance, fast-paced academic market by delivering meticulous, high-value service to discerning clinical teams.

  • Road-Ready & Resilient: Comfortable with active windshield time across a spread-out, multi-city territory; energized by high opportunity and territory growth.

  • Tech & Operations: Proficient in Salesforce.com, Gmail, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel. Outstanding organizational, prioritizing, and time-management skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary plus uncapped quarterly commission (maximizing your earning potential).

  • Comprehensive car allowance program.

Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) package.

  • Full medical, dental, vision, and wellness benefits.

The compensation package listed is for 1st year OTE, which are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. On-target earnings (OTE) represent the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals. Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
