What You’ll Do:

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of food preparation, handling, safety, and sanitation
  • Prepares hot entrees, soups, vegetables, and accompaniments for various dining areas
  • Follows recipes and preparation sheets to ensure quality and presentation
  • Completes advance prep, food temperature checks, and tasting for each meal
  • Maintains accurate preparation records and stores food properly
  • Cleans work area and equipment after use
  • Follows proper lifting, bending, and safety procedures
  • Assists with fire safety and emergency evacuation as needed
  • Cooperates with other departments and maintains a clean, safe environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in cooking, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Attention to detail and a passion for preparing great food
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
  • Creativity, reliability, and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to speak and read in English
