Position: Sanitation Lead
Pay: - $20+ $22.88 + Shift Differential $1.50] per hour to start + $500 sign-on bonus opportunity
Shifts: 2nd 2:00pm-10:30pm Tuesday-Friday with Sanitation day on either Saturday or Sunday(6:00am-2:30pm)
SUMMARY
Sanitation Lead is responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The Sanitation Lead sanitizes all
equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy and
procedures related to proper sanitation, GMP and Food Safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages direct reports providing timely feedback on goals and objectives. Maintains and
develops a motivated well-trained staff. Addresses both positive and negative performance and behaviors as needed.
• All sanitation staff are expected to perform any assignment or job task per the S.S.O.P
• Air clean and wipe down non-washdown equipment, electrical cords, electrical boxes, motors, etc.
• Comply with SQF system procedures and policies as they relate to food safety and food quality programs.
• Ability to keep track of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies run low for reorder.
• Able to operate a forklift to discard heavy waste.
• Perform janitorial duties when required.
• Sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Cleaning of coolers; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop.
• Clean floors using floor scrubber.
• Disassembling equipment.
• Pressure wash cooling belts.
• Occasionally clean overhead storage levels using man lift.
• Inspect equipment to assure sanitation requirements are met.
• Report all issues to supervisor.
• All sanitation employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a
manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by
adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality
Food Program.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the
plant and offices including walking, climbing stairs. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or
otherwise move goods within a maximum of 50lbs on an intermittent basis. Anything over 50lbs would
require assistance. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when
located near machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
