Position: Quality Assurance Lead
Pay: $18 - $23 + $1.50 Shift Differential per hour to start + $500 sign-on bonus opportunity + bonuses
Shifts: Second (12pm-8:30pm) – Full Time Work
Immediate openings for Full Time positions with potential for Sign-On Bonus of $500 and performance incentives.
SUMMARY
Maintains and improves our product quality standards. Oversees the quality control process, conducts inspections, performs tests, and ensures that our baked goods meet the highest levels of safety, taste, and consistency. Controls and investigates non-conforming products and product related incidents. In addition, collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and quality assurance, to implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the quality control efforts for our bakery production line, ensuring that all products meet the established quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods when needed to ensure team is supported in activities related to compliance with specifications and quality parameters.
- Monitor and enforce proper sanitation and hygiene practices within the production area to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Analyze and interpret quality data, identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement. Generate reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement quality control procedures and work instructions, ensuring they are followed consistently.
- Provide guidance and training to production line staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate customer complaints or internal quality incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address them effectively.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality control and food safety. Make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the overall quality management system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformities. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in food science, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role within a food production environment, preferably in the bakery industry.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA), HACCP principles, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret quality documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply mathematical operations and concepts to solving quality process-related
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools and software applications for data analysis and reporting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has 3-5 Quality Technicians and Coordinators reporting to the Lead during their shift.
