Director of Sales
Role Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading profitable growth across assigned channels and national customers for Nature’s Bakery. This leader defines channel strategy, owns senior customer relationships, and drives commercial execution through account teams operating across direct, broker-led, and hybrid coverage models.
Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership
- Deliver annual and multi-year targets for Net Sales, Earnings, Share, and Distribution
- Set and execute channel and customer growth strategies aligned with enterprise priorities
- Own senior customer relationships and lead Joint Business Planning for key national accounts
- Drive results across core commercial levers including distribution, pricing, assortment, shelving, and merchandising execution
- Lead insight-driven, category-focused selling to unlock mutual growth opportunities
- Monitor performance trends and adjust strategies using sales, market, and customer data
Team & Organizational Leadership
- Lead account teams supporting customers across direct, broker-led, and hybrid coverage models
- Oversee broker strategy and performance, ensuring clear priorities, execution standards, and accountability
- Partner cross-functionally to translate brand and enterprise strategies into effective customer plans
- Represent assigned channels in commercial planning, forecasting, and performance management forums
- Strengthen organizational effectiveness through improved selling processes, planning routines, and execution discipline
- Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, talent development, and succession planning
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, commercial strategy, or sales support within CPG
- Proven success leading major national customer or retail channel businesses
- Experience managing direct and broker-supported selling organizations
- Strong track record of delivering channel growth strategies and commercial results
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior customer stakeholders
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $153,000 - $192,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
