Success in either role requires more than responding to tickets,  we're looking for people who proactively identify data quality issues, process gaps, and configuration or integration improvements within their area, and escalate changes that impact core architecture.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and configure Business Processes (BPs), condition rules, and notifications within the architectural standards set by the HCM Manager
  • Administer approved Workday security changes, including role- and user-based security groups, domain and business process security; perform periodic access reviews and escalate exceptions to the HCM Manager
  • Build and maintain standard and custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards for day-to-day operational needs
  • Perform recurring data audits, validation, and reconciliation across Workday and connected systems; investigate discrepancies and remediate data quality issues
  • Support data loads (EIBs) and mass data updates, following data standards set by the HCM Manager
  • Monitor Workday releases and delivered functionality; perform impact analysis, configuration and regression testing, and coordinate UAT
  • Provide first-line technical support, troubleshooting, and end-user training/job aids for the teams in their functional area
  • Own day-to-day Workday incidents and service requests within their area from intake through resolution; triage by severity and business impact
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to Workday configuration, access, reports, integrations, and HR data

Focus area 1: Payroll, Benefits & Talent

  • Build and configure Business Processes, condition rules, and notifications for Payroll, Benefits, and Performance/Talent
  • Process and complete routine configuration requests from the Payroll, Benefits, and Talent teams
  • Perform recurring Payroll and Benefits data audits, validation, and reconciliation; investigate and remediate discrepancies
  • Partner with People Operations and Talent stakeholders to identify recurring pain points, manual processes, and automation opportunities

Focus area 2: Integrations, Studio & Projects

  • Monitor and support inbound and outbound Workday integrations, including EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio integrations, APIs/Web Services, scheduled file feeds, and vendor interfaces
  • Build and maintain Workday Studio integrations; partner with IT and third-party vendors on integration troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Serve as lead administrator for the Workday Projects module (Finance SKU), configuring Business Processes, security, and reporting to support Staffing and Program Management
  • Make recommendations about additional Workday SKUs or Projects features Nava could invest in

Required skills

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on Workday administration experience
  • Workday certification in HCM
  • Demonstrated ability to build reports and configure Business Processes across multiple Workday modules
  • Experience with data loads (EIBs) and data migration
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to execute effectively within an established architecture/governance framework, and escalate appropriately to the HCM Manager
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with agile project methodologies

Additionally, for Payroll, Benefits & Talent:

  • Hands-on experience configuring and administering Payroll and Benefits

Additonally, for Integrations, Studio & Projects:

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Studio and integration development (EIBs, Core Connectors, APIs/Web Services)
  • Ability and willingness to learn and administer the Projects module within the Finance SKU

Preferred skills

  • Workday Pro or Workday Partner Certifications relevant to the role's focus area
  • Hands-on experience developing advanced reports, calculated fields, and dashboards; RaaS experience a plus (Payroll/Benefits/Talent focus)

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?

  • Alcohol or other substance use disorder (not currently using drugs illegally)
