Job Description:
Navier is looking for a motivated, hands-on Boat Pilot & Operations Associate to support our growing field operations. This is a unique, high-impact role for someone early in their career who is passionate about boating, comfortable with travel, and excited to be part of a company building the future of clean maritime mobility.
You will pilot Navier’s N30 boat during customer demos, sea trials, and events, ensuring smooth operation in real-world scenarios. You will also support basic technical troubleshooting and on-the-go maintenance. When not on the water, you’ll assist with day-to-day operational tasks at our Alameda headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and pilot the N30 for customer demos, activations, internal testing, and events in a professional and pleasant manner
- Perform basic technical troubleshooting and maintenance while in the field
- Travel regularly to support Navier events, sea trials, and customer engagements (domestic and occasional international travel may be required)
- Support warehouse and hangar operations including logistics, equipment setup, and general task management
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure readiness of the boat and support equipment
- Represent Navier professionally to customers, partners, and the public during field activities
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, field service, or technical support roles
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in dynamic, real-world environments
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly, including multi-day trips
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in hands-on, outdoor environments
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain California boating certification (if not already held)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Captain’s license or equivalent marine certification
- Hands-on experience with boats or automotive systems (e.g., boating, motorsports, field tech)
- Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or marine systems
- Prior experience supporting or running product demos
- Familiarity with small-scale electrical or mechanical repairs
- Enthusiasm for boating, clean tech, and sustainability
