Destination Lead - Middle East (Internal)

Relying on their strong destination and country knowledge, the Destination Lead will be the “go to person” for a country or group of countries within their area of specialty. In addition to their personal sales responsibilities, they will assist the onboard of new/existing Destination Experts with their extensive knowledge, work with Director of Product Training on company initiatives and the Product Department to provide feedback and recommend new hotels, tours and services and conduct regional training sessions via webinar and in person.
Successful candidate will be offered the role of Destination Lead for a 6-month term.
Destination Lead Middle East:

Portfolio: Egypt, UAE, Morocco (Jordan, Israel, Oman)
Responsibilities
Personal sales (Sales in good standing), revenue and NPS targets (80) and operations as a Destination Expert are the Destination Lead’s primary responsibility. Secondary responsibilities (up to 20% of time) include:
Sales Training
- Develop training content for area of specialty and facilitate training to relevant Destination Experts
- Mentor and train new hires or DE’s who are adding countries to their portfolio
- Assist with country specific itinerary questions
Product Development
- Ongoing management of a country library in Compass
- Maintain expert knowledge of country specific tours, services, hotels and dining options through self-learning
- Provide insights and recommendations based on Country Strategies including but not limited to; new service, itinerary changes, new vendor onboarding
- Assist with Product Ticket priorities
- When on a FAM trip, assist Product with researching/testing new services as directed by a Product Director
- Additional Product/Procurement/Marketing tasks based on business needs i.e. yearly service reviews, marketing content, hosting Tourism Board webinars, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year in the role of Destination Expert with Kensington Tours (Note: Depending on previous experience, some exceptions may apply). Performance in good standing.
- Achievement of minimum Destination Expert sales targets in the prior fiscal year
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, training and developing people an asset
- Highly developed communication (verbal and written) skills - ability to adjust communication styles and deal with team members and clients sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Previous experience presenting to teams or hosting webinars an asset
- A positive, collaborative team player with a proven ability to work through conflict, build trust, generate respect and influence outcomes through outstanding interpersonal skills at all levels within the team and the organization
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high performance culture
