Social Media & Communications Specialist (contract)
We're looking for a sharp and collaborative Social Media & Communications Specialist to own Ensemble’s internal content strategy. This person will be the voice behind our internal updates (to our active members), and social media presence, ensuring consistent, engaging, and brand aligned storytelling across channels. You’ll also lead our SEO strategy, optimizing the Ensemble website and building it to be a robust website that further communicates our programs and “why’s”.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute internal newsletters/emails, town hall comms, and key leadership messaging. Inter-departmental connectivity – keep a birds eye on everything and bring it all together.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate major milestones, event coverage, and internal campaigns.
- Manage our social media channels from front to end. Crafting posts, posting on social media and engaging with comments and inboxes: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn. This includes sponsored content from partners, and engagement posts. Potentially manage the president LinkedIn account.
- Create and maintain content for the Ensemble website and partner blog posts. Work on getting backlinks for Ensemble.
- Work with designers and marketing leadership to ensure tone, branding, and visuals are cohesive across platforms. Plenty of creative briefs.
- Track and report on content performance (email, social, web), sharing learnings to improve output over time.
- Support the growth marketing team with ad-hoc marketing tasks.

What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years in marketing or communications
- Hands-on experience supporting social media efforts in a professional service, corporate, or agency setting.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and CMS platforms
- Experience with email platforms (HubSpot), social schedulers, and basic analytics tools
- Highly organized, proactive communicator with strong project management skills
- Fluency in CRMs, audience segmentation strategies, and aligning audiences to objectives - and has used HubSpot or something similar.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proven expertise in problem solving and multiple project management.
- In depth experience developing and executing marketing plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to create strong working relationships based on trust and confidence.
- Strong communication skills: you can present information (both written and oral) clearly and concisely across all levels within the organization.
- Travel industry experience a plus, startup experience a plus.
