Sr. Developer

About your Role

Our team is looking to add an experienced Sr. Developer to its Engineering team. You will have a great deal of autonomy and ownership contributing to our product and platform that powers the country’s largest logistics companies. We are interested in your ideas and innovation. If you’ve got experience at a startup or have an “I will figure this out” mindset, we encourage you to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using C#, .NET framework, and Angular.
  • Take full ownership of projects, demonstrating initiative and accountability in delivering end-to-end solutions.
  • Design and build distributed systems with message queues, event-driven architecture, serverless platforms, and focus on resiliency and observability.
  • Provide thoughtful design, build, authentication, documentation, and versioning of public facing APIs.
  • Work with SQL Server data at scale.
  • Be a champion for our customer – insisting on high standards in software and deployment design, with a focus on the resiliency and performance of our services.
  • Embrace short cycle CI/CD, using GitHub and GitHub Actions, and fixing problems quickly in production. Yeah, we literally do test in production.
  • Document system design and author Request For Comment (RFC) documents.
  • Build integrations to legacy (i.e., ugly) software systems.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of development experience using C#/.NET/Angular/TypeScript.
  • Willingness to embrace a remote working environment and asynchronous, document driven communication.
  • A desire to use data to drive your decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of testing/deployment methods (unit, integration, snapshot, canary, etc.) in a continuous deployment environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, and the ability to pivot quickly.
  • Autonomy and an ownership mindset – we’ll help you, but we want you to help us too.
  • Willingness to use dark mode for everything, or you’ll be subject to much ridicule.

Bonuses – What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Passion about your side projects; tell us about them!
  • Practical experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Experience using Azure as cloud provider.
  • Experience with North American Logistics or Supply Chain companies.
  • Experience with Compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOC2, or HIPAA.
