Job Summary

As an Analytics intern, you'll work alongside experienced analytics consultants and data scientists to analyze product usage data, identify trends, and contribute to data-driven strategies that improve product features and customer experience. You'll contribute to solutions that unite people, AI, and data while gaining hands-on experience in exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, data visualization, and product intelligence. Your developing skills in analytics and problem-solving will be instrumental as you help translate data insights into actionable business strategies across the banking industry.

Objectives:
- Learn foundational product analytics methodologies and nCino's approaches to data-driven decision-making
- Assist with gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources to support analytics projects
- Develop skills in exploratory data analysis (EDA) to summarize data characteristics and identify trends under team guidance
- Support the analysis of product usage data to identify patterns and insights that contribute to product improvement and customer experience
- Participate in gathering and analyzing data to provide insights into product performance and user behavior
- Build communication skills for presenting findings and translating insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Participate in team meetings, present initial findings, and document processes and learnings
What you'll gain:

Technical Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduate in Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics degree
- Academic knowledge of data analysis techniques, statistical modeling, and foundational machine learning concepts
- Basic programming skills in Python, R, or SQL through coursework or personal projects, with the ability to write scripts and queries for data analysis
- Foundational understanding of data visualization concepts and willingness to learn tools such as Tableau, Power BI, DOMO, or AWS QuickSight
- Academic exposure to data management, cleaning, and transformation techniques
- Interest in or exposure to AI tools and techniques, including leveraging AI for code generation, testing, debugging, and process optimization
- A learning mindset with eagerness to develop skills in product analytics and data science
Additional Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Flexibility and the ability to be productive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The recruiter for this job posting can share more compensation details during the recruitment process, as base salary is only one component of the total compensation package per position posted.
The base salary range for this job is:
$22.50 - $27 USD
