Senior Account Manager

Johannesburg, South Africa; ZA - Johannesburg

Curious Minds. Bold Ideas. Extraordinary Impact.

We're transforming financial services through bold innovation and relentless execution. You bring the ideas and drive. We'll build what's next — together.

The Opportunity

nCino KYC Africa is on a mission to make money laundering impossible. Our software and compliance services help accountable institutions worldwide meet their obligations – from attorney groups to asset managers and foreign exchange firms.

As Senior Account Manager, you own our most significant relationships. You'll lead your own renewals and commercial negotiations across a portfolio of up to 100 clients, sit across the table from C-suite stakeholders, and shape how those organisations think about compliance risk. You report directly to our Head of Account Management, with genuine autonomy over how you run your accounts and a global parent behind you.

There is real room to grow here. Account management at nCino KYC Africa spans commercial ownership, product influence and strategic advisory — you'll work closely with our compliance, onboarding, product, support engineering and finance teams, and your read on what clients need will help shape what we build next.

What You'll Do

  • Own renewals and commercial negotiations across a portfolio of up to 100 clients
  • Identify and close opportunities to upsell existing services and introduce complementary ones
  • Drive product adoption, guiding clients through change management and new functionality
  • Lead meetings, presentations and strategic reviews at C-suite level
  • Assess client needs and business objectives continuously, and act on what you learn
  • Coordinate across compliance, onboarding, product, support engineering and finance so client expectations are met
  • Identify, communicate and resolve moderately complex product issues
  • Shape initiatives that lift customer satisfaction and retention across the client base
  • Contribute to the team's financial targets and growth objectives

Ideally You'll Have

  • A bachelor's degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience — or a combination of experience, education and outstanding performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the confidence to build trust at senior levels
  • Experience planning and prioritising an account portfolio while managing competing demands calmly
  • Strong business acumen and a solution-focused approach to problems
  • Credibility as an advisor and coach, particularly around change management
  • Sound organisation and close attention to detail
  • A growth mindset — most of our account managers came to us from outside this industry and learned it here

Nice to have:

  • AML and FICA knowledge
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience
  • A SaaS background

In Return We're Offering

  • Medical aid contribution
  • Retirement fund contribution
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Paid annual leave plus volunteer days
  • Dedicated investment in your learning, development and career path
