The Role

Nearform, a global tech consultancy specializing in software solutions for enterprises, is actively seeking a Client Principal to join our North American team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our client base and fostering lasting relationships with key enterprise organizations. Leveraging your sales expertise in custom software development projects, you'll engage with C-level executives, implement strategic sales approaches, and navigate complex sales cycles to drive revenue generation. You'll work closely with a dedicated cross-functional team, including marketing, delivery, and technical experts, to ensure the seamless delivery of tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in selling complex custom software development projects to Fortune 2000-type companies, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, technologies, and trends, enabling you to effectively communicate Nearform's value proposition to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to both acquire new clients (hunting) and nurture existing accounts (farming) through relationship building, strategic selling, and consultative engagement.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering persuasive presentations and proposals to senior executives.
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on emerging market trends, aligning Nearform's offerings with client needs and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong team player who can effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, engineering, consulting) to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and build strong, lasting relationships.

Nice to Have

  • Established relationships with key decision-makers in the technology sector, particularly within enterprise organizations.

As a Client Principal you will be responsible for

  • Identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new business opportunities with enterprise clients through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expansion and growth.
  • Leading complex sales cycles from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Collaborating with technical experts to develop tailored solutions that address client challenges and meet their specific business objectives.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and client engagement.
  • Working closely with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to ensure a cohesive and effective sales approach.
  • Representing Nearform at industry events and conferences, fostering brand awareness and generating new leads.
