Accounting Manager
Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start-up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI-driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.
Here, you won’t just take a job — you’ll help reinvent how the world flies. If you’re ready to solve complex problems, push technology further, and work alongside some of the brightest minds in aerospace, this is your chance to make a real impact.
Aviation is at a breaking point—and Neon Aero is building what comes next. We’re a fast-scaling aerospace company applying modern engineering, composite manufacturing, and propulsion know-how to deliver hardware at software speed. If you’re a hands-on accounting leader who loves building clean processes, closing fast, and turning numbers into decisions, this is your runway.
This is a hybrid position, reporting to the CFO.
The impact you’ll make
-
Own the close. Lead day-to-day accounting (A/P, A/R, payroll, GL) and drive an accurate, timely monthly/quarterly/year-end close under GAAP.
-
Level-up our controls. Strengthen internal controls across cash, fixed assets, and financial reporting; prep us for clean audits.
-
Turn data into direction. Build budgets/forecasts with the CFO, deliver variance analyses and dashboards that help leaders act.
-
Build the stack. Implement and optimize ERP/finance tools and integrations (HRIS/ATS/expenses) that scale with the business.
-
Partner across programs. Support Engineering, Operations, and People with cost analysis, program financials, and scenario modeling.
-
Navigate compliance. Coordinate external financial and government audits; familiarity with cost accounting and FAR/DFARS/CAS is a plus.
What you bring
-
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred).
-
4–6+ years progressive accounting experience; public accounting and/or manufacturing strongly preferred.
-
Demonstrated success in a high-growth, carve-out, or startup environment.
-
Deep GAAP knowledge; strong internal controls and financial reporting chops.
-
ERP proficiency and advanced Excel; comfort implementing new systems and processes.
-
Collaborative, detail-driven operator who balances tactical execution with strategic insight; government contracting exposure is a plus.
