Sr. Dynamic System Analyst

Manchester, CT

Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start-up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI-driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.

Here, you won’t just take a job — you’ll help reinvent how the world flies. If you’re ready to solve complex problems, push technology further, and work alongside some of the brightest minds in aerospace, this is your chance to make a real impact.

At Neon Aero, we are building the next generation of advanced aerospace systems. Our team thrives at the intersection of engineering rigor, innovative design, and real-world flight hardware.

We are looking for a Senior Dynamic Systems Analyst who is passionate about understanding how complex mechanical systems behave in the real world — and how to make them perform better, safer, and more reliably. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing and validating dynamic aerospace structures and rotating systems, helping transform cutting-edge concepts into certifiable flight-ready hardware. If you enjoy solving complex structural problems, working hands-on with engineers across disciplines, and seeing your analysis translate directly into flight systems, we want to hear from you.

Why This Role Matters:

As a Senior Dynamic Systems Analyst, you will help ensure the structural integrity and dynamic performance of advanced aerospace systems.

Your work will include:

Structural & Dynamic Analysis

  • Perform structural and dynamic analysis of metallic and composite aerospace structures
  • Develop and validate finite element models to evaluate stress, fatigue life, vibration, and dynamic response
  • Analyze rotating mechanical systems including composite blades, hubs, and pitch control mechanisms

Modeling & Simulation

  • Apply classical analytical methods and advanced computational modeling to develop loads and structural assessments
  • Correlate simulation models with test data to improve predictive accuracy
  • Investigate discrepancies between models and real-world results

Testing & Validation

  • Support component and system-level testing
  • Interpret test data, diagnose structural issues, and support corrective design solutions
  • Participate in modal testing, structural validation, and performance verification activities

Engineering Documentation & Certification

  • Develop structural substantiation reports and technical documentation
  • Support certification activities and compliance with aerospace regulatory frameworks

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, test, and quality teams
  • Contribute to failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Support engineering planning and program execution

What you’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural or mechanical systems analysis
  • Strong experience with finite element analysis tools (ANSYS or equivalent)
  • Experience analyzing dynamic or rotating mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of metallic and composite structural analysis, including fatigue and damage tolerance
  • Experience correlating analytical models with experimental test data
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Has a deep analytical mindset and strong problem-solving ability
  • Understands how complex systems behave at both the component and system level
  • Enjoys connecting simulation results to real hardware performance
  • Communicates technical ideas clearly across engineering teams
  • Thrives in a fast-paced aerospace development environment
  • Maintains strong attention to detail and engineering rigor

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in any of the following areas is highly valued:
  • Rotorcraft or rotating machinery systems
  • Aerospace certification frameworks (FAR 27/29/33/35 or similar)
  • Fatigue and life analysis using safe-life or SN methodologies
  • Composite structural modeling and analysis
  • Structural testing, instrumentation, or modal analysis
  • Technical leadership or mentoring experience

Why Join Us:

  • Work alongside elite engineering talent and innovators from across aerospace and tech.
  • Be part of a team moving faster than the industry standard.
  • Shape solutions that are lower-cost, autonomous, and scalable — the future of aviation.
  • Competitive compensation, including equity participation, growth opportunities, and full heath benefits (health, vision, dental, 401K) designed to support you in and out of work.

This pay range is specific to the location where the role is posted. Final pay will depend on experience, skill level, and other job-related factors.

Location-Specific Pay Range

$150,000 - $175,000 USD

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
