Director, NA Field Marketing

Remote

Neo Security is looking for a Director of Field Marketing & Events to build and lead our field marketing function from the ground up. You will own the strategy and execution of everything that puts our brand and our team in front of prospects and customers in person and virtually: conferences, executive roundtables, regional field events, our own user summit, and sponsorships. You'll partner closely with Sales, Sales Development, and Product Marketing to turn pipeline and revenue targets into a calendar of high-impact programs, and you'll be the person in the room ensuring every event ties back to measurable pipeline and brand outcomes.

This is a player-coach role for someone who has run field marketing in a fast-moving B2B security or infrastructure software company, is comfortable owning a budget and a number, and enjoys both the strategic planning and the on-the-ground execution of events.

What You'll Do

  • Own the field marketing strategy and calendar across regions, including third-party conferences (e.g., RSA, Black Hat, Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit), industry roundtables, executive dinners, regional meetups, and Neo Security's flagship user/customer event.
  • Build and manage the field marketing budget, allocating spend across sponsorships, owned events, and travel to maximize pipeline contribution and ROI.
  • Partner with Sales and SDR leadership to align event and field programs with territory plans, target account lists, and pipeline goals.
  • Design and execute account-based marketing (ABM) programs and integrated regional campaigns in partnership with Demand Generation and Product Marketing.
  • Manage vendor and sponsorship relationships, negotiating contracts and evaluating conference ROI to inform future investment.
  • Lead event logistics end-to-end: venue selection, booth/space design, staffing, swag and collateral, speaker sessions, and on-site execution.
  • Define and report on field marketing KPIs (pipeline sourced/influenced, cost per meeting, cost per opportunity, event attendance and conversion) and present results to marketing and sales leadership.
  • Build and manage a team of field marketers and/or event coordinators as the program scales, including contractors and agencies for peak event seasons.
  • Represent the marketing function at key industry events, occasionally including public-facing or spokesperson duties.
  • Stay current on the cybersecurity conference and analyst landscape to identify new, high-value opportunities for visibility.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in field marketing, event marketing, or demand generation, with at least 3 years in a leadership or head-of-function role.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or another technical/enterprise IT space.
  • Proven track record designing field programs that generate measurable pipeline, with fluency in pipeline attribution and marketing ROI reporting.
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale industry conferences and sponsorships (booth strategy, speaking slots, executive briefings).
  • Strong budget management skills, including vendor negotiation and cost/ROI tracking across a multi-hundred-thousand-dollar annual events budget.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales leadership and working from a shared pipeline/revenue targets model.
  • Proficiency with marketing and sales tools such as Salesforce, a marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), and event management/registration tools.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to run multiple concurrent events and workstreams without dropping details.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 30-40%, including some evenings/weekends around major industry events.
  • Based in the United States, able to work across U.S. time zones.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience marketing to security, IT, or DevOps buyer personas (CISOs, security engineers, IT admins).
  • Familiarity with the cybersecurity conference circuit and analyst ecosystem (Gartner, Forrester) and existing relationships with sponsors/organizers.
  • Experience building a field marketing function from an early stage at a startup or scale-up (Series B–D or equivalent).
  • Experience running executive-level programs, such as CISO advisory boards, dinners, or invite-only briefings.
  • Background in partner or channel marketing events.
  • Familiarity with ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense, Demandbase) and integrating field programs into ABM plays.
  • Creative eye for booth design, event branding, and on-site experience.
