COMPANY: Neptune Medical is a lean and innovative Silicon Valley start-up commercializing high clinical value devices for gastroenterology, and robotics. We are seeking a compelling candidate who can help us develop and commercialize innovative technology in the medical device space.

ROLE:  The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual skilled in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Routine Maintenance

  • Perform regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Address routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry.
  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure proper operation and efficiency.

Repairs

  • Troubleshoot and repair facility systems and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are needed.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and promptly address hazards or deficiencies.
  • Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed.
  • Work with pest control

Operational Support

  • Assist with setting up and tearing down for events, meetings, or facility projects.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner through a work order system.
  • Moving equipment around the facility
  • Ordering new equipment.

Inventory and Documentation

  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Monitor inventory levels for tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock is available.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in building maintenance
  • High school diploma or GED. Technical certification preferred.
  • Positive demeanor with a strong work ethic and desire to be a big part of a growing organization.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and ISO13485 rules and regulations
  • Comfortable working Mon – Fri with a 6 AM to 3PM

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $35.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, benefits and 401(K) with matching.
