Facilities Specialist

El Segundo, California, United States

Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

We’re on the hunt for a Facilities Specialist to be the go-to right hand for our Facilities Manager. Think of this role as part problem-solver, part fixer, part space-optimizer. You’ll help keep our HQ safe, clean, and running like clockwork — all while making sure our team has a workplace that’s as inspiring as the work we do. From helping plan office setups to jumping in on quick repairs, you’ll be in the middle of the action every day.

If you’re hands-on, resourceful, and love the idea of keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes (and sometimes in the spotlight), this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Team up with the Facilities Manager to keep our fast-growing company on track and ahead of facility needs.
  • Walk the space regularly and make sure everything is safe, clean, and ready to roll.
  • Tackle maintenance requests quickly — and when contractors need to get involved, you’ll keep them on point.
  • Help design and set up office layouts, furniture, and spaces so our team works smarter (and cooler).
  • Keep supplies, tools, and gear stocked and organized so we never run out mid-project.
  • Support safety and security basics like access badges, visitor check-ins, and emergency procedures.
  • Jump in to solve problems — from small fixes to big projects — and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Pitch in with other teams to make events, meetings, and day-to-day operations run seamlessly.
  • Champion our standards for a workplace that’s safe, welcoming, and professional (but still fun).

You should have the following

  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, early mornings. Occasional weekends and evenings.
  • Experience working at a start-up.
  • Familiar with digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Slack, Notion, etc.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to keeping the facility safe, clean, and welcoming.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Hazardous Waste Disposal & OSHA a plus.
  • Forklift & Scissor lift certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus.
