NetDocuments is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and month-end close. The Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, commissions, and assist with sales tax filings and other basic tax-related tasks as needed.

What your contributions will be:

  • Areas of focus may include month-end close support, general ledger accounting, commissions, bank reconciliation, prepaid accounting, fixed asset management, and other balance sheet reconciliations as assigned
  • Assist with preparation for and coordination of external audits
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and reclassifications, with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Assist with sales/use tax filings and other basic tax-related compliance tasks
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding account status and reconciling items
  • Provide recommendations to improve existing processes and systems
  • Working closely with our Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller on various projects
  • Other accounting related tasks as assigned

 

What you will bring to the team: 

  • Strong commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable using AI tools (Claude) to support accounting workflows and improve efficiency
  • Strong computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work effectively as a supportive team member
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines, particularly during month-end close

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • 1 - 2 years of accounting experience or related education
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, finance principles and financial reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

 

Preferred Experience:

  • NetSuite experience
  • SaaS company experience
  • Experience using AI (Claude)

Compensation Transparency 

The compensation range for this position is: $75,000- $82,000 annual

The posted cash compensation for this position includes on target earnings, base salary and variable if applicable. Some roles may qualify for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are determined based on various factors specific to each candidate, such as career level, skills, experience, geographic location, qualifications, and other job-related considerations
