Position Description:
Manage the work of a team of senior software development engineers who work on developing software solutions for the operation of a server part of the Network Optix Video Management system.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the following: Analyze users’ needs and then design and develop software to meet those needs with a focus on developing in C++ on the Server side; Recommend software upgrades and develop complex functionality for existing programs and systems, design each piece of the software solution, and plan how the pieces will work together; Fix and troubleshoot technical issues, ensure that software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and document every aspect of an application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades; Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback; Identify training and development needs; Facilitate career growth opportunities; Manage team workloads; Assign projects based on capacity and skills; Make decisions regarding promotions, bonuses, and terminations in collaboration with HR; Ensure adequate staffing and manage hiring processes in coordination with HR; Promote work-life balance and employee engagement initiatives; Align team objectives with the company’s broader strategic goals; Communicate company vision, goals, and updates to the team; Report team progress, achievements, and challenges to senior leadership; Manage team workloads and assign projects based on capacity and skills; Plan and approve budgets for team-related expenses; and Initiate/manage performance improvement plans when necessary. Base pay range
$274,456 - $274,456 USD
