Girls' Varsity Volleyball - Assistant Coach

Newark Academy is seeking an assistant coach for our girls' volleyball team for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Position Description: 

Newark Academy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must possess a proven track record of respectful leadership and strong communication skills with assistant coaches, players and families. Candidates must be committed to building a positive, inclusive culture within the team. Candidates should be driven, energetic, organized and motivated. 

Responsibilities include:

• coaching the team primarily during the fall season (mid August - early November)
• helping players grow as student-athletes and people by teaching sport-specific skills and ensuring all players model good sportsmanship
• communicating with players and parents clearly and effectively

Qualifications:

• Experience at the high school and/or college level is desired
• Ability to teach volleyball skills and concepts at both a fundamental and high level with excitement and positivity
• Ability to teach, promote, and lead by example values of discipline, respect, integrity, good sportsmanship and fair play
