What is the role 

The primary role for the Systems Engineer is to provide technical support to clients including remedial maintenance support on infrastructure, LAN and WAN networks and implementation of new technologies.

Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following: 

  1. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide remote and onsite support for client networks, systems, and installations.
    • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Escalate unresolved issues according to internal SLA.
  2. System Configuration and Maintenance:
    • Configure and deploy PC, server hardware, and peripheral network equipment.
    • Plan, schedule, and implement network hardware and software maintenance and upgrades.
    • Test and ensure the performance and reliability of network equipment.
  3. Client Interaction and Requirements Gathering:
    • Work with end users to understand technical requirements.
    • Maintain client environments to optimize performance and reliability.
    • Ensure the security and privacy of client systems and information.
  4. Documentation and Communication:
    • Develop and maintain technical procedures and system documentation.
    • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Document daily activities accurately and timely.
  5. Continuous Learning and Project Contribution:
    • Maintain and develop technical knowledge and skills through self-study and training.
    • Contribute to client projects as required.
    • Monitor and review daily logs, creating incident tasks when necessary.
