We are seeking a strategic and creative design lead to lead the portfolio management over the Enterprise Web Initiatives a large global pharmaceutical organization. This role combines design leadership, portfolio strategy, and light project management to oversee a diverse range of web projects. The ideal candidate will have a blend of visual design expertise, hands-on design capabilities, strategic thinking, and experience managing cross-functional teams in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy and Management:
    • Oversee the Enterprise Web Initiative portfolio of an International Business Unit (IBU), ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across Europe to prioritize and resource projects effectively.
    • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, proactively addressing risks or roadblocks.
  • Design Leadership:
    • Provide strategic oversight and direction for visual design outputs across the portfolio.
    • Ensure design standards and branding guidelines are consistently met across all web initiatives.
    • Review and critique design deliverables to maintain high-quality outcomes.
    • When necessary, contribute directly to designs with hands-on execution
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Act as the primary liaison between European and global teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
    • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and streamlined workflows.
    • Serve as the point of contact for EU-specific considerations, including regulations and cultural nuances.
  • Resource Planning and Team Oversight:
    • Coordinate resourcing for design and development teams, ensuring appropriate skillsets are matched to project needs.
    • Identify gaps in resourcing or capabilities and propose solutions to address them.
    • Provide mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure all web initiatives comply with EU regulations and standards, including accessibility, privacy, and pharmaceutical guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital design, strategy, or portfolio management, ideally within regulated industries (pharma preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design and digital strategy.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with EU regulatory environments, including GDPR and accessibility standards.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple time zones, particularly EU-based teams.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in pharma, healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors.
    • Based in Europe or significant experience working with EU-based tea
