Are you a skilled and motivated Senior Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft 365, infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies? If you thrive in a support-focused environment where resolving complex technical issues is your strength, this could be the perfect role for you.

Based in our Perth office with client site attendance, this full-time position involves providing advanced technical support across LAN/WAN networks, Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in identifying and resolving escalated issues, maintaining system reliability, and supporting end users and clients. Servicing our client’s afterhours as part of our rotating on call roster is required, offering an on-call allowance and overtime rates.

What is the role 

The primary responsibility of the Senior Engineer is to deliver advanced technical support to clients, with a focus on diagnosing and resolving issues across infrastructure, LAN/WAN networks, and cloud environments. This role also serves as a key escalation point for complex technical challenges and contributes to the implementation of new solutions within their areas of expertise.

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues across networking, cloud, and infrastructure platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using Cisco Meraki, Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualization technologies.

• Troubleshoot, manage and optimize Microsoft 365 environments, including security, compliance, and collaboration tools.

• Oversee device lifecycle management using Intune and Autopilot, ensuring seamless provisioning and policy enforcement.

• Troubleshoot, architect and maintain Azure-based solutions, including virtual machines, networking, and storage.

• Deploy and support on-premise hardware and data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Administer and troubleshoot virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware ESXi.

• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies, with a strong focus on Veeam.

• Act as a senior escalation point for technical issues, providing expert-level support and root cause analysis.

• Mentor other engineers and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Who we are looking for 

•  Tertiary qualification in relevant field

• Mid to High level industry qualifications from key vendor partners including Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, Microsoft, VMware, Symantec and/or Citri

• Significant experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting leading edge technology solutions

• Proven experience delivering multiple projects

• Significant experience in networks and security appliances, ideally in an enterprise environment

• Proven experience with Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF & VRRP) and SD-WAN technologies

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, Cloud Technologies, and IT security

• Experience with multi-server infrastructure including virtualisation and application clusters

• Excellent documentation skills
